Real-Time 3D Visualization
Aurora — Real-Time Automotive Showroom
A photorealistic virtual showroom where buyers configure paint, wheels and interiors on a Lumen-lit vehicle and walk around it at any hour of the day, streamed straight to the browser.
Challenge
The client could only show buyers a handful of physical cars per dealership. Trim options, colours and interiors lived in flat PDFs, so the emotional moment of seeing your exact configuration never happened before the handover.
Objectives
- Reproduce the physical showroom experience digitally
- Show every paint, wheel and interior combination in real time
- Run on any device with no install
- Hand sales teams a tool that closes, not just impresses
Technical Approach
The vehicle was rebuilt from CAD with clean LODs and Nanite geometry, then lit as a hero scene with Lumen and physically based materials. A configuration UI drives material swaps live while a cinematic camera system lets the customer orbit the car, switch time of day and step inside the cabin — all delivered via Pixel Streaming so nothing is downloaded.
Development
- CAD cleanup and Nanite geometry pipeline
- Physically based paint, chrome and leather materials
- Live material-swap configuration system
- Cinematic orbit, interior and walkaround cameras
- Day/night lighting variants with Lumen
- Pixel Streaming delivery with session analytics
